University Information Systems (UIS) provides technical services and enterprise applications to the University of Colorado campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service and technical expertise. Through the development of enterprise applications, UIS supports the University systems used by students, faculty, human resources employees, finance employees, and others.

The Senior Research & Grants Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the University of Colorado’s post‑award research administration through a deep understanding of and hands‑on experience with both the People Soft Grants suite (GM, PC, CA, BI, AR) and the Info Ed electronic research administration (eRA) platform. The position is responsible for identifying and implementing technology solutions that align with institutional research goals, campus‑specific strategies, and compliance requirements.

Leveraging dual‑system expertise, the analyst will analyze, design, configure, and test People Soft Grants modules, while also supporting and optimizing Info Ed applications. A key responsibility is ensuring smooth integration and data flow between People Soft and Info Ed systems, enabling accurate reporting and efficient workflow management. The analyst translates complex business requirements from all four University of Colorado campuses into effective solutions.

The role reports to the Assistant Director of Grants IT Services and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System.

This role is eligible to work remotely within Colorado.

• Serve as the functional and technical data model expert for both People Soft Grants systems and Info Ed systems supporting core pre‑award and post‑award research administration activities across all CU campuses.
• Act as product manager for custom CU‑developed applications that extend or integrate Info Ed and People Soft functionality. Responsibilities include roadmap development, techno‑functional analysis, stakeholder engagement, testing, training and coordination with People Soft and Info Ed developers.
• Provide advanced support, manage and optimize CU custom integrations between Info Ed and People Soft, including award setup automation and synchronization projects to reduce administrative burden and increase data accuracy.
• Lead or contribute to strategic, cross‑campus initiatives that align Info Ed and People Soft Grants data models, including the development of reusable integration frameworks, unified reporting data models and automation tools.
