KPMG is currently seeking a Risk Management Systems Solution Architect to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the migration of the US risk management application from on‑premises to PaaS (Azure US East, Azure West Europe); ensure data residency, confidentiality, and compliance for US and Federal client data, including management of attachments in the US sovereign cloud
  • Ensure high availability, security, and compliance with global and regional regulations
  • Develop integration strategies for risk management applications with various enterprise applications and data consumers such as Salesforce Sales cloud, Azure Data Lake, internal KPMG systems, Federal Cloud, and others; utilize APIs and middleware for seamless data exchange across platforms
  • Work closely with both global and US technology teams, business stakeholders, and risk management groups to align solutions with organizational objectives; ensure adherence to KPMG’s security, privacy, and compliance frameworks, including Fed Ramp and Section 7206 requirements for Federal data
  • Provide architectural guidance to development teams, lead design reviews, and mentor junior architects; maintain architecture diagrams, integration blueprints, and technical documentation for CEAC and related systems
  • Implement and validate controls for data access, retention, and residency (RBAC, encryption, audit trails, access reviews); lead performance testing and mitigation planning to ensure optimal user experience for US users accessing globally hosted applications
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent solution architecture with strong cloud and integration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred;
    Microsoft Azure Architect certifications preferred
  • Expertise in PaaS environments (Azure preferred) and enterprise and risk management applications
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration patterns, and security principles
  • Experience with global and regional compliance requirements; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global and US teams; experience working with offshore teams
  • Demonstrated experience working in risk management and compliance platforms is preferred; prior experience in enterprise integration using APIs and middleware (e.g., Mule Soft) is preferred; familiarity with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
