The Opportunity The Engineer III, Windows and Virtualization Infrastructure is a key member of an enterprise infrastructure team responsible for engineering and operational work across multiple datacenters and environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys working hands-on with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup, and datacenter technologies.

You will assist in the design, architecture, implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of systems and integrations serving both customer and business unit needs. You'll also help evolve existing production technologies with a focus on reliability, simplicity, scalability, and future readiness.

What You'll DoWindows, Compute & Virtualization Infrastructure Primarily responsible for the management of our compute, storage, and software.

Creation and configuration of greenfield datacenter sites as well as retrofitting existing locations.

Perform system integration of new technologies and solutions through the research, design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance phases.

Maintain and manage several virtualization clusters, with oversight of current and future capacity planning needs.

Assist in monitoring solutions and their notifications and actionable recovery.

Analyze user and application requirements to determine operating system, storage, memory, and CPU needs for both physical and virtual servers.

Datacenter & Storage Co-maintain Fibre Channel, VxLAN, and NAS solutions while continuing to maintain fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Assist with the development, analysis, configuration, and implementation of storage architectures.

Gather and analyze application and end-user storage requirements and I/O performance needs.

Determine the proper storage layouts and disaster recovery profiles.

Ensure that all service platforms and applications are backed up according to established policies and procedures.

Maintain, enhance, and deploy new and existing software and hardware technologies within our testing lab.

Provide hands-on datacenter support involving servers, devices, and/or storage.

Engineering & Operational Support Act as an engineering-level escalation resource to the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other operations groups to assist with high-level fault analysis and isolation.

Assist and contribute to the analysis, configuration, and deployment of high-availability systems and storage architecture.

Work closely with other team members on new technology and systems solutions.

Collaborate with networking and security teams to deliver solutions for both internal business units and end customers.

Provide professional support to customers, both internal and external.

Document systems and application design and configuration.

Participate in future technology direction discussions, leveraging experience and active research.

Mentor other colleagues in areas of expertise.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For Minimum Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on experience supporting enterprise Windows Server and virtualization platforms.

Expertise with Windows Server operating systems.

Expertise and understanding of Active Directory administration and architecture.

Experience with and understanding of VDI solutions.

Experience with Windows operating systems and Office applications.

Strong grasp of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.

Good understanding of storage technologies.

Strong understanding of enterprise backup solutions;
Veeam experience is a plus.

Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as:

VMware Prox Mox Xen Hyper -VExperience managing complex systems infrastructure projects.

Hands-on datacenter experience with servers, devices and/or storage.

Experience and knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system administration is a plus.

Clear and effective communication skills, both written and spoken.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Ability to work under pressure with a diverse team.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
