We are seeking a Data-focused Business Analyst with Mortgage industry experience to support Enterprise Data Platform and Core Data Services initiatives.
The ideal candidate will partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather and define requirements for reporting, analytics, source system changes, and new data integrations. The candidate should have strong experience in SQL, data mapping, data integration, data governance, and enterprise data platforms
.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Define KPIs, metric logic, dimensionality, refresh schedules, and security/access requirements.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Architects on curated datasets, data products, semantic layers, master/reference data, and data APIs.
- Document source system integrations, including data profiling, source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and reconciliation processes.
- Create user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, process flows, data dictionaries, mapping documents, and test scenarios.
- Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, prioritization, dependency management, and release planning.
- Perform SQL-based data exploration, validation, and data quality checks.
- Support reporting and analytics requirements using Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Define and document data governance and security requirements, including data classification, RBAC, privacy, retention, lineage, and auditability.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure delivered solutions meet business and data quality expectations.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong experience supporting Data, Analytics, Integration, or Enterprise Data Platform initiatives
. - Mortgage domain experience (Residential or Commercial) is highly preferred.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Experience with source-to-target data mapping and data transformations.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, dimensional modeling, and semantic layers.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/BI tools.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineage, and Security.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
