• Running technology controls testing for SOX from planning through reporting
• Walking through processes with system owners and getting to the real reason a control is not working
• Working with IT and compliance partners on fixes, then making sure those fixes stick
• Helping decide where the audit team spends its time each year
• Teaming up with financial auditors and the outside audit firm on shared work
• Being a go-to resource for IT teams who have questions about controls
• Jumping into special projects as they come up

• A few years of IT audit experience, with SOX work you have owned yourself
• Time spent testing large ERP systems, including who has access, how changes get made, and how the system is set up
• The ability to explain the difference between general IT controls and application controls, with examples from your own work
• A solid grounding in information security fundamentals
• A bachelor’s degree in technology, information systems, accounting, or a similar field
• Clear, confident communication with everyone from analysts to executives
• A relevant professional certification is a plus
• Experience with audit management software is a plus
• Openness to some travel
