Data Analyst (Governance)
LocationDenver, Colorado (On-site)

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst specializing in Data Use Governance. The analyst will provide governance oversight for how data is requested, sourced, shared, provisioned, and consumed across applications, reports, analytics, APIs, event streams, AI/ML solutions, and other business and technology processes. This hands-on governance role requires independent judgment, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to manage multiple requests and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Data Use Governance requests from intake through final disposition and publication.
- Evaluate business use cases and identify appropriate, authoritative data sources.
- Determine applicable agreement and governance requirements.
- Coordinate with data providers and consumers to facilitate required approvals.
- Confirm that supporting metadata, lineage, Data Quality controls, and security requirements are complete.
- Analyze both business and technical information, challenging incomplete or unclear requests.
- Translate complex data flows into clear governance requirements and documented decisions.
- 5 or more years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Risk, Data Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 5 or more years of direct, hands-on experience in Data Use Governance, data-sharing governance, or a comparable data-consumption governance function.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating business use cases and determining the data, sourcing, approval, metadata, and control requirements.
- Experience working directly with upstream data providers and downstream data consumers to document and govern data-sharing relationships.
