Android Developer

Family Dollar is the kind of place where a junior's question can change the technology roadmap, and we want an Android Developer who asks them. The whole arrangement rewards initiative — $82,000 - $108,000 to start, technology ownership throughout, and Family Dollar backing every step.

• Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput Family Dollar workloads
• Untangle the Linux dependency knots that have slowed Grand Junction releases for months
• Stand up observability so Family Dollar sees failures before customers in CO do
• Slice the scrappy technology monolith into Delegation services Grand Junction, CO can deploy alone
• Sketch JavaScript sequence diagrams that make the technology flow obvious to everyone
• Reproduce the playfully-serious bug from the Grand Junction field report, then make it impossible again
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and JavaScript libraries
• Document the Delegation system so the next mid-level engineer onboards in days, not weeks

• 4 or more years steering technology projects end to end
• A CO work history, or strong reasons you'll thrive here anyway
• Demonstrated calm when a Grand Junction, CO client changes scope mid-stream
• Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders at every level

Family Dollar is Grand Junction, CO's answer to a technology industry grown lazy, run by a metrics-driven team that still cares about Linux. Trust, transparency, and steady momentum are the three things we protect above all else.

The offer includes $82,000 - $108,000, remote flexibility, retirement matching, and coaching tailored to your mid-level goals.

Reopened and refreshed, the search for a mid-level candidate runs hot today.
