Our West Regional Claims Team is seeking Senior Commercial Claims Specialists to partner closely with clients, adjusters, and our service teams to manage multi‑line and/or property claims status, resolve issues, and provide strategic support within the west.
How you’ll make an impact- Report claims as needed and provide support and expertise to clients and service teams, often working directly with insureds and claimants to identify new claims and potential coverages.
- Has the ability to shift between claim systems such as AMS
360 and Applied Epic, properly documenting claim activity. - Review claim forms and related documents for completeness; follow up for missing information.
- Update claim files and develop claim strategies as needed.
- Follow up on claim acknowledgments and adjuster assignments, especially for large or complex claims.
- Serve as a key contact for adjusters and clients on claims‑related issues.
- Resolve coverage questions to ensure optimal claim outcomes for clients.
- Prepare claims information for presentations and internal reporting.
- Collaborate with the Claims Manager/Team Leader to resolve customer claim issues and reduce E&O exposure.
- Support the claims team and mentor claim coordinators.
- Manage complex claims and accounts with minimal supervision and recognizes when to alert management to potential claim issues.
- May participate in client prospect meetings to support the local service team(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: High school diploma and 5 years related experience required. Good understanding of claims processing and the insurance brokerage business. Licensing required.
Preferred: Associate’s degree preferred. Experience as a multi‑line claims adjuster with a strong emphasis in property claims strongly preferred. Experience working on the carrier or broker side is highly desirable. Experience working in western states, especially California and Arizona, strongly preferred.
