Onsite ASL Interpreter

Propio Language Services is a provider of critical interpreting and translation services since 1998, offering remote and on‑site solutions in more than 350 languages for over 6,000 clients and 8,000 contract interpreters.

We are looking for Onsite American Sign Language Interpreters in the Colorado metro area. The role involves providing consecutive interpretation both in person and virtually via phone or video for a variety of clients, including medical, legal, and social services.

• Provide consecutive interpretation in person and virtually (by phone and video) for first‑person interpretation.
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Adhere to all Propio L.S. policies regarding information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other applicable regulations.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge for clients in medical, legal, and social services.

• Submission of an updated resume.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Documentation of updated vaccinations (including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, and Covid) as required by location and regulations.
• Successful completion of a drug test, background check, and security screen.
• Signed commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

• 1+ years of interpreting experience.

• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
