AboutThis Role
As an in-house Corporate Paralegal within a dynamic insurance technology company, you will play a key role in supporting contract management, conducting legal research, and performing document review. This position emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, working closely with internal teams to ensure effective legal processes and compliance in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
About You And Your Experience- Bachelor’s Degree + Paralegal Certification
- 3+ years of Paralegal Assistant experience
- Experience in Insurance or Fin Tech industry is a huge plus
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to build relationships for fostering collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency with technology and legal management systems to efficiently manage documentation and workflows.
- Maintains attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all legal matters.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, along with adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
- Owns a network of outside counsel specialists to support specific regulatory and programmatic projects, preferred.
In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the legal and business operations of the company. Your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Supporting Contract Negotiations :
Assist in the preparation, review, and revision of contracts and service agreements in partnership with the COO and CAO.
Managing Legal Documentation:
Maintenance and tracking of legal and business documents, including contracts, amendments, and correspondence. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date, and stored in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Conducting Legal Research:
Perform research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the insurance and technology sectors. Summarize findings and provide actionable insights to support legal decision‑making and risk management.
Assisting with Privacy Policy Implementation:
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal and external privacy policies. Collaborate with compliance and technology teams to ensure adherence to applicable data privacy laws and best practices.
Collaborating with Internal Teams:
Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Insurance, Compliance, Human Resources, and other departments to address legal requirements, standardize processes, and resolve issues efficiently.
Supporting Process Improvements:
Identify opportunities to enhance legal workflows, documentation practices, and contract management systems. Participate in initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the legal function.
