Job Summary
Boulder County invites interested individuals to apply for the role of Deputy District Attorney at the 20th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The Deputy District Attorney I is an entry‑level attorney responsible for managing a county court docket, developing trial skills, and representing the Office of the District Attorney in court. The role follows office policies, seeks guidance as necessary, and demonstrates a strong work ethic, ethical judgment, and professionalism.
The Deputy works with staff, victims, witnesses, co‑workers, court staff, the public, defendants, and defense attorneys with respect and integrity.
- Manage a county court docket.
- Develop trial skills.
- Act as a professional representative of the Office of the District Attorney.
- Follow office policies and procedures.
- Seek guidance as necessary.
- Work well with staff, victims, witnesses, co‑workers, and court staff.
- Treat co‑workers, the public, defendants, and defense attorneys with respect.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and ethics at all times.
- Entry‑level attorney.
- Strong work ethic and sound ethical judgment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and court personnel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Legal education and passing the bar in Colorado.
- Salary/Hiring Range: $96,480–$102,288.
- Full‑time, exempt position under FLSA guidelines.
- Work hours:
Monday through Friday; periodic on‑call duty. - Work‑from‑home:
Two days a week after six months of employment (if duties allow). - Extended parental leave up to an additional 12 weeks.
- Work out of Boulder or Longmont offices.
- Employees must reside in Colorado at the start of employment.
