This position reports on site at the Republic Plaza building located at 370 17th St., Denver, CO 80202, Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
Who We AreThe Mission of the Denver District Attorney's Office is to professionally and competently prosecute crimes and investigate criminal activity on behalf of the people of the State of Colorado and to seek equal justice for all in the criminal justice system. Our mission also includes the prevention and deterrence of crimes, supporting the well‑being of victims, participating in the community, being transparent and accountable, and improving the criminal justice system to provide fair alternatives to incarceration in appropriate cases.
WhatYou'll Do
- Managing a Domestic Violence docket within the Domestic Violence Unit and meeting with survivors and family members
- Appearing in court on assigned docket days, partnering with community agencies, the Denver Police Department, and other criminal justice agencies to successfully serve survivors and build criminal cases
- Assisting victims of domestic violence and their families through the criminal justice system
- Performing other duties as assigned or requested by the District Attorney

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Education requirement:
Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree - Experience Requirement:
Three (3) years of experience as an attorney of law with experience in Domestic Violence - Education/Experience Equivalency:
No substitution of experience for education is permitted. - License/
Certifications:
Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court at the time of application
