Mace is seeking a full-time Senior Project Controls Manager for life science and industrial manufacturing projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.
Responsibilities- Serving as a client-facing senior project controls lead who assists with strategic, tactical, and technical advice.
- Managing and growing cost management teams or accounts.
- Interfacing with clients, external and internal consultants at all project stages.
- Conducting feasibility studies and procurement reports production.
- Producing ROMs for new and pipeline projects for a project budget to be based on.
- Day-to-day cost management of medium-large scale client projects including procurement, pay requests, change management and cost reporting.
- Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project involving existing protocols and systems.
- Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, evaluation, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
- Ensuring that post-contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes are managed effectively.
- Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract and cost reports and presenting them to the client.
- Providing value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Managing the final account negotiation and agreement.
- Ongoing updating of benchmarking efforts as new projects are executed to provide real cost data to client.
- Relevant degree (MS or MBA preferred).
- Demonstrated capital program leadership experience, effectively managing integrated team(s) on large complex and multi-phase Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing capital programs.
- Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (Design Build and Construction Manager at Risk).
The estimated salary for this position is $125,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
