Pay Range

Base pay: $75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr. Aimbridge Hospitality provided pay range. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.

The Director Engineering oversees the property's facilities maintenance function and is responsible for the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment on site. Directs and supervises the Maintenance staff as requested by General Manager and leads a team responsible for maintenance of buildings and grounds, including renovations, expansions, and improvements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience, including some management experience.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Acceptable MVR property specific.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Analytical decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work well under stress.
  • Problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information.
  • Listening and clarification skills.
  • Financial literacy and basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Extensive experience with related fields or departments.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies for maintenance requests.
  • Develop schedules for preventative maintenance and conduct inspections.
  • Ensure repairs comply with policies and regulations; maintain documentation.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, performance, and termination.
  • Contribute to strategic planning with senior management.
  • Establish departmental policies that impact the organization.
  • Provide courteous service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain attendance per Aimbridge standards.
  • Maintain professional appearance, uniform, and name tag compliance.
  • Comply with Aimbridge standards and regulations.
  • Use proper two‑way radio etiquette.
  • Perform any other duties requested by management.
