Senior Landscape Construction Operations ManagerAt Lifescape Colorado, the Senior Landscape Construction Operations Manager oversees and manages the project management team that ensures the successful execution of our landscape construction projects. This senior leadership role involves managing a team and client expectations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Manager will collaborate closely with clients, designers, field crews, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.
Compensation: $130,000-$175,000 per year
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management
- Lead, manage, and train the project management team
- Review and manage determined KPIs
- Forecast construction backlog and labor needs to meet weekly, monthly, and annual goals
- Ensure the construction process is followed by the project management team, from assigning projects to final client walk-through and hand-off
- Ensure jobs are planned to run efficiently and safely while meeting Lifescape quality standards
- Work with Project Managers and Design/Sales team to manage the construction schedule daily
- Manage construction projects to be installed on time and budget, including Change Orders, material purchases, and successful material buyout
- Oversee and interview/vet subcontractors, managing subcontractor schedules to meet Lifescape professional standards
- Support the team by managing projects as needed
- Ensure the team meets daily and weekly administrative tasks; time approval, weekly planning and schedule updates, invoicing, payments, job preparation, and job closeout
- Identify and manage opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead weekly meetings, trainings, and foster professional development initiatives for your team
- Strategize and meet with senior leadership to lead the company
Client Service
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients and colleagues
- Meet with clients, builders, and other professionals as needed throughout the project timeline
- Attend and lead client meetings as required, ensuring client satisfaction
Communication & Coordination
- Partner with our Construction Manager and Superintendent to ensure our field crews uphold Lifescape construction standards and safety practices
- Work well with our property care team to ensure smooth client/property transitions
- Ensure project management and construction teams collaborate effectively
- Assist in project estimate review with sales team prior to the sale of projects as needed
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors and vendors
Warranty Management
- Manage the warranty coordinator and assist in warranty issues with clients and problem-solving
- Track and manage warranty costs and ensure warranty policy compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Landscape Construction and installation
- In-depth knowledge of best practice landscape construction methods, including basic landscape structures
- Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent client management and effective communication skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets
- Proficient in software such as Excel, MS Office, Aspire, and Bluebeam
