The Sr Director, People Business Partner is a critical leadership position within our organization, designed to foster teammate career growth and drive significant enterprise-wide impact. This role requires an experienced leader who can think strategically, use data to guide decisions, challenge the status quo, and, where necessary, reinvent how work is done through an AI and technology lens.

As a Sr Director, you will partner with a cross‑functional group of subject‑matter experts to design and execute our People Team's strategy for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain, and organize work. You will have the opportunity to be hands‑on, working side‑by‑side with Village leaders to get things done across a variety of people‑related areas.

A key focus of this role will be preparing our workforce for the future of work, including the integration of AI. You will lead the charge in assessing workforce impacts, designing change readiness strategies, and implementing capability‑building roadmaps to ensure our teammates are confident and empowered to adopt AI tools and work effectively alongside AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Scope: Shape and lead the people strategy for your assigned business lane(s) and the broader People Team, actively managing the impacts of decisions on enterprise‑wide outcomes.
  • Leadership & Culture: Influence the enterprise culture by holding Village leaders accountable to champion our purpose, connection, and belonging. Serve as a senior leader on the People Strategy Business Partners (PSBP) team.
  • Execution: Lead complex initiatives across business lanes, focusing on priorities that will drive the most value. Drive the consistent and standardized application of core People Team tools to achieve better outcomes aligned with our multi‑year objectives. Organize teams and leverage resources, including those outside of your lane, to further enterprise strategy and independently resolve complex challenges.
  • Talent Development: Build a track record of attracting, retaining, and developing talent across the enterprise. Ensure robust career pathing and development for PSBPs and teach others how to coach for growth and performance. Promote career growth and increase retention ("stickiness") within the PSD role.
  • Change Management: Effectively support change management across the PSBP team through the stages of change for cross‑functional initiatives. Lead workforce transformation initiatives related to AI adoption, including conducting role impact assessments and designing comprehensive change readiness plans.
  • Strategic Thinking: Create a shared vision and take a long‑range perspective to set enterprise goals. Capitalize on opportunities and develop solutions to create value for the enterprise alongside an agentic workforce.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Director, People Business Partners role (or equivalent) with a strong and consistent track record of high performance.
  • Influence & Communication: Viewed as an enterprise influencer who communicates with simplicity and clarity. Proven ability to deliver persuasive recommendations to senior audiences, engage in productive debate, and influence decisions with cross‑functional partners, often without formal authority.
  • Stakeholder Management: Expertise in developing strategic partnerships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
  • Change Leadership: Expertise in change management and organizational design, with experience in technology adoption and workforce upskilling.
  • Business Partnership: Strong business partnering and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while also demonstrating strong collaboration across teams.
  • A firm commitment to continuous personal and professional development and growth.
