Job Summary

The Community College of Denver (CCD) seeks an innovative and visionary new leader with proven skills and passion to serve as its next president. CCD is a public, open‑access institution dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning, and service to its diverse community. The president reports to the CCCS Chancellor and has autonomy to manage the campus while collaborating with system leaders.

Responsibilities

The president will collaborate with system and campus leaders to advance CCD’s strategic plan, steward financial resources, forge and strengthen partnerships, and advocate for students. The president ensures efficient use of resources, safeguards assets, maintains internal controls, and ensures the integrity of all reporting. The president establishes strategies and measurable goals to increase enrollment and ensure equity in student access and success.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree (higher education leadership is not required).

• Demonstrated success leading complex organizations.

• Deep appreciation for the transformative impact of community colleges and ability to convey importance to varied constituencies.

Salary and Benefits

Presidents receive comprehensive health and life insurance, generous leave, and strong retirement plan options. The anticipated salary range is $215,000 – $250,000, with final salary based on qualifications and internal equity.
