Division

of Capital Assets (DCA)

The Division of Capital Assets (DCA) manages Capitol Complex Facilities Management (CCF) and State Fleet Management (SFM). These programs provide leased building space, facility management, building security and identification programs, employee parking, ceremonial flag requests and special event permits for the public, vehicle call center, short-term vehicle rentals (Motor Pool), and vehicle acquisition and lifecycle management.

Labor, Trades and Crafts I

This position assists the Capitol Complex Management Team in managing and maintaining the operations of 18 state-owned buildings, seven parking lots, and one parking structure. This includes directing all functions of approximately 2 million square feet of state owned office space, including the Executive Residence and 225 acres of landscape grounds. The position also oversees the operations of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops.

and Responsibilities

A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Oversight of Electrical Shop Operations
  • This position is the second-level supervisor for the Electrical Shop.
  • It schedules and conducts monthly meetings, makes staffing and training recommendations, and ensures work orders are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Works with agency staff, vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers involved with agency electrical projects and makes budget and purchase recommendations.
Oversight of HVAC and Plumbing Operations
  • This position is the second-level supervisor for the HVAC and Plumbing Shop.
  • This position schedules and conducts monthly meetings to discuss maintenance issues and provide pertinent agency information.
  • It works with agency staff, vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers involved with agency construction or maintenance projects.
  • It makes budget and purchase recommendations and provides cost estimates for a variety of purchases, services and projects.
  • Makes staffing and training recommendations, and works with the shop supervisor to write specifications and/or scopes of work to initiate the procurement process.
Emergency Response
