Astellas is announcing a Women’s Health Regional Business Lead opportunity in the Frontier area. Territories include but are not limited to:
Billings, Idaho Falls, Denver, Grand Junction, Arvada, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fort Collins, and Lincoln.
- Coach, lead, motivate, develop, and hire sales professionals.
- Provide leadership to achieve sales goals for Astellas’ products in the region.
- Maximize business growth through collaboration with Area Director, Marketing, Managed Markets Manager, and Training and Development.
- Manage sales professionals and provide consistent direction on execution of sales and marketing strategies.
- Develop the field team, focusing on managing performance and career progression.
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources the region and maintain effective communication with key external and internal customers.
- Identify and maximize talents on the team; provide growth opportunities and appropriate recognition.
- Coach and counsel sales professionals on improving selling skills, product knowledge, and capabilities.
- Foster proactive and open communication within the team and set expectations and high standards.
- Direct and align efforts related to the business strategic plan; manage region budget and monitor sales trends and competitor activities.
- Recruit, manage performance, and develop human resource needs related to recruitment and performance management.
- Lead recruitment and development programs, suggesting improvements to achieve talent diversity.
- Provide ethical leadership by adhering to corporate policies and sales practice regulations.
- Additional duties as needed.
- Achieve 100% goal attainment for multiple products in a region averaging nine territories.
- Interact with internal Astellas departments and external customers such as Key Opinion Leaders.
- Manage team travel budgets, exhibit/display budgets, and sales material utilization budgets.
- Reports to a Senior/Director Area Sales Primary Care & Specialty.
- Entry‑ level people manager role within field sales, leading an average of nine sales professionals.
- BA/BS degree.
- At least 4 years of pharmaceutical selling experience.
- Demonstrated success across a diversity of therapeutic products consistently delivering on objectives.
- Strong knowledge of sales processes and pharmaceutical products and industry.
- Motivated, results‑oriented sales professional with outstanding experience.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills, solid facilitation and presentation skills.
- Exhibits leadership, motivational, and persuasion skills.
- Demonstrates business acumen and flexibility/adaptability.
- Proactive ownership of situations and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to understand sales targeting tools/reports to prioritize opportunities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel over 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Participation in management/leadership development or assessment program.
- At least 2 years of outside sales pharmaceutical management experience.
- Strong performance in prior pharmaceutical sales & marketing roles.
- Advanced degree or continued education.
Salary Range: $113,050–187,000 (final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and organizational equity considerations).
