Position SummaryDrive development and champion strategies that will build brand reputation and customer and employee brand affinity. Partner with peer team leads and managers to conduct/lead strategic planning and strengthen relationships with key business partners. Will serve as a strategic lead and subject matter expert in brand strategy and governance, brand team operations, integrated marketing/media execution, and/or sponsorship/community events. Will guide and support the broader team through best practices, mentorship, and strategic oversight.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Develop strategic plans and engages with internal peers to develop and execute cross-functional advertising and marketing plans and programs. Ensures that work presented by the agency and internal teams is on strategy, supports the brand vision and strategic priorities and adherence to Xcel Energy standards and guidelines.
- Accurately interpret and articulate internal client/company goals, objectives and needs Oversees development of strategic briefing documents to ensure consistency with brand strategy and product/program goals. Route briefs to internal stakeholders for required approvals prior to agency/internal creative team kick-off.
- Monitors key success metrics, identifying under performance. They work with agency and relevant internal teams to report metrics and recommends opportunities for optimization to brand management team, internal stakeholders and agency partners.
- Proactively seeks and mines strategic opportunities that achieve company goals and appropriately enlists internal management and agency resources to address client opportunities/challenges. Develops a thorough knowledge and understanding of Xcel Energy business, products, markets, trends, and internal organization dynamics.
- Budget/financial management awareness and ownership as assigned and maintain a thorough and current knowledge of Xcel Energy programs and products.
