About Us

At i9 Sports, we’re more than youth sports — we’re building confidence, teamwork, and character in kids across the Nashville area. Our game days are where the magic happens, and we’re looking for a Game Day Director who can lead from the front, solve problems on the fly, and set the tone for an incredible experience for families, players, coaches, and staff.

This role starts part-time but has real opportunity to grow into a full-time leadership position as our Nashville market continues to expand.

Position Overview

As a Game Day Director
, you will be responsible for leading the on-site operations at several of our weekend sports programs in the area. You’ll oversee staff, manage field and equipment setup and teardown, support coaches and families, troubleshoot issues, and ensure each location is running safely, efficiently, and professionally across Soccer, Flag Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Volleyball
.

Think of yourself as the traveling on-site leader — part operations manager, part team leader, part customer service representative, and part problem solver.

You are the person responsible for making sure the day runs smoothly and stepping in when something doesn’t go according to plan at the assigned locations.

  • Natural problem solver who can make decisions independently
  • Customer service experience; retail, hospitality, or recreation experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
  • Positive, energetic, and professional
  • Willing to train, coach, and assist staff when needed
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 lbs
  • Comfortable being on your feet for several hours
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
Schedule & Pay

Part-Time / Seasonal

  • Approximately 10–20 hours per week
  • Higher hours during peak season and as needed
  • Weekends required
  • Some weekday hours for season preparation and equipment organization
  • Pay: $25–$30 per hour
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time leadership position
Key Responsibilities Game Day Operations
  • Lead the setup and teardown of game-day locations
  • Set up and break down goals, tents, cones, fields, courts, and other equipment
  • Pack and organize the company vehicle for game days
  • Assist with weekly vehicle and equipment preparation
  • Transport and drop off equipment at program locations using a company vehicle
  • Ensure fields and facilities are organized, safe, clean, and ready for programming
  • Ensure equipment is properly collected, accounted for, and secured after games
  • Monitor game-day operations and address issues as they arise
  • Troubleshoot unexpected situations quickly and calmly
  • Communicate important operational updates to the appropriate staff
Staff Leadership
  • Direct and support part-time game-day staff
  • Ensure staff arrive on time and are prepared for their assignments
  • Assign staff to appropriate responsibilities and locations
  • Set clear expectations and hold staff accountable to i9 Sports standards
  • Provide coaching, training, and assistance when needed
  • Keep staff energized, professional, and on task
  • Step in and assist with game-day responsibilities when staffing needs arise
Customer Experience
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for parents, coaches, and staff
  • Answer questions and provide helpful, professional customer service
  • Address concerns calmly and appropriately
  • Help create a welcoming, positive experience for families
  • Represent i9 Sports professionally at every location
Leadership & Problem Solving
  • Take ownership of the overall game-day experience
  • Make independent decisions when unexpected issues arise
  • Identify problems before they become larger issues
  • Maintain a positive, high-energy environment
  • Lead by example and model i9 Sports values
  • Maintain professionalism and a strong customer-service mindset
  • Support the Game Day and Operations leadership team with additional responsibilities as needed
