Lab Technician III, Microbiology

Location:

Denver, CO. Compensation: 28.33 per hour.

Hours:

Wednesday - Saturday, 7:30 AM-6 PM.

Within our Microbiology Department at Leprino, we are seeking a dependable and accurate technical resource to provide overall lab support. We take pride in our vision to be "world's best" and are committed to continuous innovation.

• Cleans lab equipment and glassware.
• Disposes test tubes and fills distilled water jugs.
• Performs basic sample preparation duties including labeling, organizing, diluting, pipetting, and clean‑up.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties in the lab.
• Maintains appropriate lab inventory, ordering and receiving supplies; prepares, labels, and weighs samples aseptically (by plant).
• Loads, unloads and operates autoclave for sterilization of media, glassware, trash, and dilution water.

• High School Diploma;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology preferred.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry/microbiology to operate pipettes, balances, autoclave, and other pertinent laboratory equipment.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology concepts, principles, and theories.
• Ability to follow written procedures accurately within the laboratory.
• Ability to work in a team in a high‑volume laboratory.
• Ability to organize information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to accept and understand instructions and progress toward the stated objective.
• Basic math, organizational, and analytical skills.
