CNC Machinist – 3 & 4 Axis (Setup / Operator / Programmer)

(Setup-only and setup + programming both considered)

About the Role:

We’re hiring a 3 & 4-Axis CNC Machinist to support precision machining in a modern production / job-shop environment. This role is flexible based on experience — we’re open to setup & operators as well as machinists who also program
.

What You’ll Be Doing (based on experience):

• Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC mills and/or lathes
• Load tools, set offsets, and prove out jobs
• Run tight-tolerance production and short-run work
• Edit programs at the machine as needed
• Perform basic inspections using calipers, mics, and gauges
• Create or modify CNC programs using CAM or at the machine

Machines & Controls (varies by shop):

Programming Experience (not required for all):

• Mastercam
• Fusion 360
• NX
• GibbsCAM
• Programming experience is a plus, not a requirement

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience setting up and running CNC mills and/or lathes (3 & 4 axis)
• Ability to hold tight tolerances (.001” or better)
• Comfortable reading blueprints and GD&T basics
• Strong understanding of tooling and work holding
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Nice to Have (but not required):

• CNC programming experience
• 4th-axis experience
• Aerospace, medical, or tight-tolerance job shop background
