Overview

Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr. This role is a 2nd Shift position with Jobot hosting the job listing. Salary is based on skills and experience. Easy Apply is available.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day production operations to achieve yields, quality, scheduling accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Prioritize tasks, delegate work, and schedule employees to optimize production and sanitation.
  • Train, develop, and coach employees to achieve maximum performance and engagement.
  • Support loss prevention, risk management, USDA compliance, and employee relations.
  • Partner with HR on recruitment, selection, training, and retention of talent.
  • Monitor employee performance metrics including productivity, attendance, safety, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager and other supervisors to maintain knowledge of yields, quality, variances, and plant efficiencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of processes, methods, equipment use, and product quality.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, participate in investigations, and enforce safe operating procedures.
  • Manage department supplies, tools, and equipment; complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP and USDA regulations, taking corrective or training action when needed.
  • Serve as technical resource for production, quality, and operational troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing; protein/meat processing preferred.
  • Strong background in production operations, yields, efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office and industry reporting systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including presentations and addressing sensitive issues with tact.
  • Experience working with USDA/HACCP standards and food safety programs.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring ability, and employee development skills.
  • Ability to interpret documentation, compute basic math (rate, ratio, percentage), and conduct problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
