* In addition to its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and reputation for some of the country's best brews, Denver ranks among the top 10 in Forbes' 'Best cities for dogs 2024' list. We are honored to have a strong presence in this mile-high city, as we have been operating here since 1930. Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972.

Notably, our Denver location became the first-ever pet food factory to harness the power of solar energy. We take great pride in doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.  We currently produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®.

As a Maintenance Technician, your role, in the bigger picture, is to manage the preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will handle projects that span the electrical, mechanical and automation maintenance challenges. This position will be scheduled for an off shift (2nd or 3rd shift). This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

+ Service and repair of production related equipment including extensive knowledge in the principles and practical application of pneumatics, hydraulics, chain/belt drives, bushings/bearings/idler systems, gearboxes, pumps, valves, fasteners, seals, gaskets, mechanical fabrication, and rigging.

+ Knowledge and purpose of lubrication as well as identifying best types of lubrication for situation.

+ Welding/Cutting:
Knowledge and utilization of PPE and safety for tasks, techniques (stick/mig/tig), set up of equipment, basic gas cutting, proper grounding and equipment maintenance.

+ Be able to troubleshoot and repair semi-complex mechanical machinery to include pumps, fans, meters, control valves, liquid and dry material conveyance, direct and indirect belt and chain driven systems, pneumatic systems etc.

+ Must have a working knowledge of basic electrical test apparatus.

+ Intermediate ability to fabricate mechanical systems.

** Requirements*
* + 1+ years' mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment
-OR- 2-year Technical Degree.

** Other*
* + Must be willing to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.

The approximate pay for this position is $39.35 - $50.63 per hour. The pay progression plan follows:
Maintenance Technician D $39.35, Maintenance Technician C 40.76, Maintenance Technician B $42.74, Maintenance Technician A $46.35, Maintenance Technician A+ $50.63. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
