Precision Manual Machining Specialist

• Run Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), manual lathes, and horizontal boring mills to machine pump cases, impellers, wear rings, bearing housings, shafts, and covers.
• Hold tight tolerances of +/− 0.001" on critical features.
• Blueprint, layout, and plan setups using deep knowledge of metal properties and machining procedures.
• Calculate angles, radii, bolt circles, and other dimensions to complete precision work.
• Plane and bore horizontal pump casings.
• Safely operate overhead cranes for handling large components.

• 3+ years of manual machining experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and hold close tolerances.
• Journeyman status (or Machinist’s Mate in the military) or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Background in pumps or rotating equipment is strongly considered.
