Next Fifty Initiative is a Colorado-based private foundation dedicated to funding mission-driven initiatives that improve the lives of the older adult population and their caregivers. Our mission is to promote independence and dignity for the aging population, including the needs of low and moderate income persons, encompassing individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities, by encouraging and supporting innovative, affordable, and coordinated services and initiatives.
ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Program Officer reports to the Director of Programs and is responsible for reviewing grant applications, making funding recommendations to the Board of Trustees, and working with assigned grantees to evaluate their work and support them in their grant activities. The program officer will demonstrate a strong understanding of the mission and vision of Next Fifty Initiative and be able to communicate that clearly to grantees and the interested public.
The program officer will cultivate potential grantees in the community and the field of aging.
The individual filling this role will be a key member of the Foundation's program staff. They will contribute to idea generation and strategic thinking that strengthens the Foundation’s grantmaking initiatives by ensuring efficient, equitable, and effective processes that align with the mission and vision of Next Fifty Initiative.
COMPENSATIONStarting salary is a minimum of $80,000 DOE.
