Compensation: $36.50 — $55.25 per hour (based on years of experience)
On-Call Differential: $4.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $25,000
Relocation Assistance: $5,000 (for candidates relocating from more than 75 miles away)
Shift Options10- and 12-hour shifts available, including:
- 6:45 AM — 5:00 PM
- 7:00 AM — 7:00 PM
- 9:00 AM — 9:00 PM
- 11:00 AM — 11:00 PM
- 10–12 on-call shifts within an 8-week period
- Combination of weekdays and weekends
- Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility for on-call coverage
The Operating Room Registered Nurse delivers safe, high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role functions as a key member of the interdisciplinary surgical team and supports complex, high-acuity surgical cases using evidence-based practice, strong clinical judgment, and technical expertise.
Practice Environment- Trauma-designated acute care facility
- High-acuity surgical services with ICU support adjacent to the OR
- Large operating suite with advanced surgical technology
- Broad range of surgical specialties, including:
- Complex spine and orthopedic procedures
- Transplant surgery
- Neuro and trauma surgery
- High-risk obstetrics
- Vascular, general surgery, ENT, GYN, plastics, and oncology
- Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments
- Educate patients and families on procedures and perioperative care
- Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical site verification
- Participate in surgical safety protocols (briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal precautions)
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition or emergencies
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on postoperative care and follow-up
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or valid multi-state compact license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of perioperative (OR) nursing experience required
- Surgery center experience considered
- Circulating experience required
- Completion of OR orientation and training in circulating and scrubbing across services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- CNOR certification preferred
