Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care)  $130K | New Grads Welcome | Flexible 3 Day Workweek

Join a hospital-based Denver practice as an NP or PA and care for patients long enough to actually know them. You'll follow ventilator-dependent and medically fragile adults for weeks or even months across an LTAC hospital, acute rehab, and specialized hospital backup units in skilled nursing facilities. On the same hallway, patients can range from stable to critically ill, so you'll shift gears often.

You'll have physician rounding support for your first 3+ months, twice-weekly multidisciplinary rounds, and a "whole unit is our responsibility" culture, all on a 3-day workweek. Experienced providers and new grads are both welcome, and the practice brings experienced hires up toward their prior pay quickly when they perform well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex adults, from med-surg stable to critically ill
  • Build ongoing relationships with long-stay patients and their families
  • Collaborate with medicine, nutrition, and other disciplines in structured team rounds
  • Respond to nursing questions across the unit, not just on your own patients
  • Take phone-only call and document with the practice's charting approach
Qualifications
  • Colorado NP or PA license, or licensed by start
  • FNP, AGACNP, AGNP, AGPCNP, ANP, or PA-C
  • Any experience level; acute, critical care, or hospital RN background a plus
  • Willing to learn this practice's approach, even with significant prior experience
  • Commit to a 3-month supervised rounding period; 2–3 years preferred
  • Comfortable caring for a highly diverse population, including patients from correctional facilities
  • Experienced NPs need an active DEA; new grads do not
Schedule & Compensation
  • $120,000–$130,000 salary with early raise reviews
  • 3-day workweek | Three 12-hour shifts per week | One weekend per month | Phone-only call
  • Schedule coordinated around family needs where possible
  • Health and dental | Malpractice | 15 PTO days | Sick time separate
  • Fully paid CME week | Licensing and certification costs covered
