American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU position requiring 2+ years of cardiac critical care experience and PALS certification.

• 10-bed Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU unit within a larger 10-bed PICU
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care, estimated but never guaranteed
• Day and night shift coverage, each with 1 Charge RN plus staff to volume
• Uses Philips monitors, Med fusion and Baxter pumps, centrimag, prismax, and arctic sun equipment
• Meditech EMR
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• 4 shifts per 4-week schedule for weekend coverage
• Serves congenital cardiac and medical neonate population as an ECMO center

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Greater than 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
• Peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No Canadian SSN accepted
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

• Provide post-op care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
• Perform moderate sedation procedures
• Work alongside board-certified pediatric/congenital heart intensivists and a multidisciplinary team
• Join a team averaging 10 years of nursing experience with high engagement and strong culture of safety scores
• Flexible, organized, and strong communication skills valued for this role
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
