As the Quality Assurance Coordinator for our milk production facility, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production process meet strict quality standards. This includes overseeing food safety and quality assurance/control procedures from raw milk intake to packaging, conducting inspections, training plant personnel, implementing corrective actions when necessary, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with production teams to identify and address quality issues, conducting audits, and continuously improving processes to enhance product quality and safety.
You'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our reputation for excellence in dairy products. This role reports to the plant Quality Assurance Manager.
The position will be based in Denver, CO.
The salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
MainResponsibilities
- Responsible for FSMA and PMO compliance and reporting including data collection, procedure development, and record keeping.
- Perform plant floor duties including quality audit inspection record keeping, product sample collection and analysis, compliance, auditing, and active participation in the 5S/Continuous Improvement program.
- Develop, implement, and roll out new quality programs (sanitary maintenance, SQF audit gap analysis) to meet corporate quality standards for all US Plants.
- Interact with regulatory and plant personnel ensuring ongoing compliance with a focus on maintaining and improving relationships.
- Participate in regulatory audits and perform acting QA Manager duties during the QA Manager's absence.
- Microbiological analysis; preparation and plating of samples and interpretation of results.
- Working knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiatives and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
