We are seeking an experienced Senior Market Researcher to provide deep insights into our brand’s position in the market, identify growth opportunities, and understand evolving audience needs. Your insights will guide strategic decisions across marketing campaigns, product development, and brand positioning.
Responsibilities- Design and execute brand health tracking studies to monitor performance over time.
- Conduct audience research to identify target demographics, preferences, behaviors, and emerging trends.
- Analyze competitive landscapes, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate insights into actionable strategies for brand growth.
- Develop and maintain research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and data analysis techniques.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market research tools and methodologies.
- Quantitative Methods – strong background in surveys (e.g., Conjoint, Max Diff), structured interviews, and usage data analysis, including hypothesis development, sampling, and statistical techniques.
- Qualitative Methods – experience in focus groups, in‑depth interviews, ethnographic studies, and content analysis, interpreting open‑ended data into actionable insights.
- Secondary Research – skilled in literature reviews, industry report analysis, and competitor benchmarking using databases such as Statista and IBISWorld.
- SEO and Social Listening – familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Brandwatch, and Mention to gauge brand sentiment and audience behavior online.
- Competitive Analysis – conduct comprehensive SWOT, market positioning maps, and benchmarking.
- Trend Forecasting – identify and interpret emerging trends using analytical tools.
- Customer Segmentation & Personas – segment target markets and develop personas based on demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data.
- Insight Generation – synthesize findings into clear, actionable strategies that inform brand direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in market research, brand analysis, or a similar role, preferably in the tech industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
In San Francisco, the expected salary range is $122,500 to $191,000. Outside California, the range is $101,000 to $181,000. In Canada, the range is $128,000 CAD to $169,500 CAD. Compensation considers experience, skills, education, and business needs. The role may include equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
