Overview

Position Summary The Sam’s Club meat team seeks hard-working, happy-to-help associates who will help ensure quality, packaging, and display of meat items for our members. You’ll be on the front lines of customer service, where a smile can influence the shopping experience. You will help deliver more of what members love, for less.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; and be flexible to meet the needs of the business by working in other areas as required.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; and maintain product quality standards.
• Be a Techie:
  Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Maintain operational excellence; keep work area in line with company policies; ensure quality and date control for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member experience in meat; model high-quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
• Comply with company policies and ethics; apply the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices; complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; address improvement opportunities; and adapt to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $26.00; actual rate will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives; premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
