Our client, a metal roofing, panels & systems manufacturer, is seeking an inspired and results‑oriented Outside Sales/Specification Representative to support their distributor partners in growing their Building Products business covering Colorado, Wyoming & New Mexico.

SUMMARY: Outside Sales reps will call on commercial architects to get products specified; create brand awareness with industry professionals; and assist in pull‑through sales with the distribution network.

This is a NEW territory for our client and they are looking for a candidate who is a true hunter. All candidates must have strong commercial exterior building envelope sales experience and a book of business with commercial architects.

• Primary responsibility is to call on commercial architects to get products specified on plans.
• Conduct AIA/CES presentations to architects, specification writers and engineers.
• Secondary responsibility: pull‑through sales with distributors, contractors, builders and other customers involved in the commercial construction industry.
• Identify and develop customers using a variety of methods and sources, including construction bulletins, internal CRM, and networking at industry events and trade shows.
• Quote and negotiate projects to customers, in conjunction with the inside sales support staff.
• Provide technical service and support to customers as needed.
• Conduct educational presentations to contractors and distributors.
• Attend industry regional association and distributor product shows, as well as national trade shows.

• Minimum 3 years of commercial exterior building envelope outside sales experience.
• Must have a book of business with commercial architects.
• Good understanding of reading technical documents, including blueprints and specifications.
• Have sold a high‑end non‑commodity product.
• Proficient with Microsoft products and CRM systems.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of exact experience.
• All potential employees are required to do a drug test, credit report, and driving record check.
