Spec Chem is seeking a high energy, top sales performer to enhance and add value to our sales team in the role of Regional Sales Associate in the Colorado/Utah/Idaho territory. The successful candidate will be intelligent, energetic, and can effectively communicate the value Spec Chem provides to its distributors.
Responsibilities- Generate and close new business opportunities while serving and growing existing business
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of the products, marketplace, and the value that Spec Chem provides
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential Spec Chem customers
- Conduct job site and customer calls
- Participate in calls including: architectural, engineering, DOT, and municipality
- Provide inside and outside customer sales training and support
- Support internal Spec Chem repair, customer service, and laboratory training
- Work closely with contractors to drive Spec Chem business
- Active involvement in business, customer, and trade associations
- Work closely with Spec Chem management and ownership
- Provide marketing support to internal team
- Closely collaborate with existing Spec Chem sales and technical team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Skilled in budgeting, planning, scheduling, and communication
- Working knowledge of time/territory management, professional selling skills
- Strong communication and math skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite of products
- 3+ years sales experience preferred; willing to train a person with the right character, energy, and work ethic
- Ability to assess customer needs
- Work within corporate vision, mission, and values of organization
