Job Overview
Masimo is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to sell Masimo’s Acute Care product portfolio and develop strategic relationships with clinical leaders in targeted hospitals. The role assists Account Managers in new sales and account renewals and serves as a proactive member of the sales team to secure new business and grow existing business in the assigned territory.
Duties & Responsibilities- Utilize Masimo’s established sales process to convert competitive accounts to Masimo technology.
- Track all opportunities and update on a weekly basis using CRM.
- Conduct side‑by‑side and ADC demonstrations for Masimo technologies.
- Assist clinical specialists with Physical Inventories as part of the sales process.
- Present Masimo’s value proposition to clinical leaders.
- Drive all product sales in assigned Masimo territory.
- Identify and develop working relationships with clinical thought leaders at strategic accounts to position the benefits in care processes and patient outcomes of Masimo’s wireless Pulse CO‑Oximetry and Floor Monitoring solutions.
- Conclude Masimo Sensor agreements for new conversions and renew existing accounts.
- Articulate information in clinical studies regarding Masimo technologies.
- Collaborate with Masimo Team Members including Corporate Accounts, IDN, and Clinical Specialist for team selling and provide market trend insights to marketing and upper management.
- Maintain and hone high‑level strategic and tactical selling skills and self‑improve.
- Organize and conduct user seminars on Pulse CO‑Oximetry and Floor Monitoring benefits.
- Coordinate clinical evaluations of Masimo’s Rainbow SET Pulse CO‑Oximetry technology to establish credible clinical champions (VCCCs).
- Create and maintain a CRM database of key account information and realistic sales forecast data.
- Conduct annual business reviews with current customers.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of successful hospital‑based sales experience, specifically selling innovative technology solutions to clinicians.
- Documented success in selling medical devices or emerging technology to multiple call points (Anesthesia, Respiratory, ICU, OR, Biomedical, C‑Suite, etc.) and multiple decision makers within the hospital setting.
- Successful history managing customer interactions with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Ability to persuade clinicians to consider and embrace new ideas, focusing on new patient care processes based on clinical evidence and new technologies.
- Ability to perform clinical evaluations of Masimo technology to include research and focus groups.
- Ability to communicate value‑based solutions.
- Some travel, overnight stays, and a valid driver’s license are required.
- Successful history of selling innovative, paradigm‑shifting patient care solutions is a significant plus.
- Successful track record selling breakthrough concepts.
- Demonstrated ability in building clinical champions.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentPosition primarily works outside a traditional office environment, making frequent customer sales calls on a daily basis. Must travel extensively, operate a motor vehicle, and stand, sit, and walk for extended periods during customer meetings and facility visits. Daily use of a computer and other digital devices is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with real or perceived disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
