Underground Utility Locator

Vannguard Utility Partners, Inc. is hiring an Underground Utility Locator in the Denver, CO area.

Salary: $21.00 per hour. This is a full‑time position requiring a 10‑hour shift, Monday‑Friday, with on‑call and overtime availability.

• Drive a company vehicle directly to job sites in response to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilize mapping tools, locating equipment, and computer utility maps to identify underground utilities, including electric, gas, and telephone lines.
• Mark utility locations with paint or flags and communicate findings to excavation personnel and other relevant authorities.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to the established rotation schedule.

• Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by the assigned geographic area.
• Get in and out of a vehicle 50+ times per day.
• Stand and walk up to 10+ miles over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
• Sit for long periods while driving.
• Lift or move 50 to 150 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment (required).
• Computer skills with at least 1 year of experience (required); utility locating experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to after‑hours call‑outs.
• Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients.
• Drug‑free workplace program participation and pre‑employment drug screening.
