Position Details

Reports to: Branch Manager

Company: RMS Cranes & Rigging Inc.

Location: Denver, CO

RMS is looking to add experienced full-time crane operators to our growing branch. You must meet all the following requirements to be considered.

Salary: $41.73/hour - $54.27/hour DOE and certifications

Summary

Ensure safety first, proper crane setup, and safe lifting practices, maintaining customer focus. Follow all applicable laws, safety, and environmental policies.

Responsibilities
  • Review next day’s job assignments and prepare necessary rigging and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Complete and submit Field Tickets, noting any chargeable equipment used.
  • Maintain daily payroll records and report hours by Monday 10:00 a.m.
  • If not on a job, inspect, clean, and perform maintenance on equipment.
  • Respond promptly to phone/pager calls.
  • Assist in training safe crane operation.
  • Review crane manuals periodically.
  • Clean and organize equipment and workspace.
  • Read and interpret load charts and perform calculations.
  • Program and set up the crane safely on location.
  • Ensure signal person understands hand signals.
  • Perform proper rigging for safe lifting.
  • Inspect crane, truck, or trailer before operation and complete vehicle inspection reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Current state-issued Commercial Driver License (CDL).
    • Current NCCCO crane operating license.
    • At least 3 years of hydraulic crane operation experience.
    • Ability to operate crane via hand signals.
    Skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
