Our client is searching for Central Office Telecommunications Technicians to decommission various locations. These locations may require temporary travel for several months at a time and could be in different states throughout the country. The project is expected to last approximately one year. Candidates must submit to a drug, background, and DMV test. All candidates must have several years of experience working in central offices and hands‑on experience providing telecommunications support.
Responsibilities- Secure and wipe data
- Dismantle and remove equipment
- Inventory assets
- Dispose of assets
- Remove furniture and junk
- Perform repairs
- Conduct a final walkthrough
- Return keys
- Ability to log into telecommunications equipment such as DWDM, SONET, routers, switches, and MUXes
- Fiber optics experience (running jumpers, cleaning fiber)
- Experience with test equipment such as OTDRs and test sets
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Contract position based out of Denver, CO. This role is fully remote. It requires occasional travel.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00 per hour.
