Job DescriptionGreat Opportunity for Outdoor Work and Freedom! We are recruiting Underground Utility Locators in Arvada for a rewarding career in a drug‑free, expanding environment. The role requires self‑motivation, safety commitment, attention to detail, and pride in completion of tasks.
Salary: $21.00 per hour.
Work Location:
Multiple locations across the I‑70 corridor area.
Schedule:
10‑hour shift, Monday to Friday, on call, overtime possible.
- Drive a company vehicle to job sites in response to routine tickets, emergencies, and relocations.
- Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities (electric, gas, telephone, and other communication lines).
- Mark utility locations using paint and flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
- Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs per the rotation schedule.

- Ability to work overtime when required
- Subject to Vannguard’s Drug‑Free Workplace Program and pre‑employment drug screening
- Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients
- Drive 50–300+ miles daily as required
- Get in and out of a vehicle 50+ times a day
- Stand and walk over 1 mile in uneven terrain, all weather conditions
- Sit for long periods while driving
- Lift or move 50–150 pounds
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
High school or equivalent (Required)
LicenseDriver’s license (Required)
