Senior Engineer ; Network

Senior Engineer I (Network) – Join Digital Ocean’s network engineering team to design, implement, and maintain our scalable, high‑performance network infrastructure.

• Providing hands‑on technical design and engineering for network‑related tools and systems.
• Working with networking‑focused software engineers to develop and maintain our SDN solution and integration.
• Developing and contributing to open‑source projects related to network and platform engineering.
• Providing guidance during code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Developing and maintaining network automation solutions.

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of network engineering and experience with vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, or Arista.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go or Python.
• Expertise with Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, virtualization, web servers, and databases.
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Experience with automation frameworks (Salt preferred).
• Good knowledge of Git and multi‑branch development.
• Willingness to relocate to or residency in one of the following:
