We’re looking for a versatile, persistent product engineer who’s not afraid to set up reusable building blocks across the stack and advocate for the time and space to do so. At Ashby, all engineers ship features end-to-end at a high pace.

At Ashby, you’ll take ownership over a large portion of one of our products and own projects end-to-end, including researching competitors, writing product specs, making wireframes, and more.

• Design and build features end-to-end across the stack, including frontend and backend work.
• Research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes, and contribute to product decisions.
• Work with a set of building blocks (analytics modeling and query language, policy engine, workflow engine, design system) to deliver powerful and customizable products.
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to ship features for customers.

We’re building tooling that enables Talent Acquisition teams to work more efficiently, with a focus on automation, insights, and scale. We aim to reduce manual steps in recruiting workflows and provide powerful, flexible solutions for our users.

• Own projects end-to-end within one product area, including researching, spec-writing, wire framing, and implementation.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to deliver high-quality features that scale with user needs.
• Contribute to building reusable components and building blocks used across the product.

• Experience delivering features across a technology stack, with a willingness to tackle frontend, backend, or infrastructure work as needed.
• Ability to balance speed and quality, with a track record of producing thoughtful, scalable solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with stakeholders and teammates across disciplines.
• Interest in owning projects and mentoring when appropriate; comfort with ambiguity and technical leadership responsibilities.
