Staff/Principal Software Engineer, Payments Platforms - Python Django

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr

Salary target starts at $175 K and goes up depending on experience.

This role offers the chance to modernize legacy systems and contribute to the next generation of payments infrastructure. They are seeking a player‑coach who is practical and pragmatic, willing to dive into gnarly legacy systems and bridge the old to the new. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a Staff+ level dev, deep professional Python and Django experience, and deep payments industry knowledge.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (Senior/Staff/Principal level)
• Python and Django highlighted experience
• Significant experience with payments – background in fraud, fintech, or other transactional systems is applicable.
• Experience designing data models in production systems.

Note:

By 6 months, a successful hire will transition from identifying issues to implementing improvements and collaborating with leadership on technical enhancement; by 1 year you will likely lead efforts to restructure and modernize the payments platform.

Location:

Fully remote, with most engineers in EST. Candidates may be based in Denver or anywhere remotely.
