There are millions of e-commerce businesses around the world, and the industry is growing each year. Yet achieving profitability has never been harder. Costs are rising, it’s more tricky to acquire customers, and they have to run with lean teams. As a result, the vast majority of them guess about things like how to price their products, what discounts to offer, whether to charge for shipping, and what content they should show on the site, leaving 6‑10% of potential profit on the table.

Intelligems is a profit optimization platform that helps these entrepreneurs succeed and find all of that extra profit. The platform provides e‑commerce merchants with a wide range of A/B testing and personalization tools to help them understand their data, run experiments, and price dynamically. We’re taking technology that has previously been available only to the Amazons and Ubers of the world, and making it available to e‑commerce stores of any size.

We have excellent traction. We’re working with 500+ brands and have processed more than $4B of data. As we enter scaling mode, we are looking for highly talented individuals to join us and help us continue to scale efficiently.

While we are a distributed company with the capacity to work well remotely (and have for many years) – we do believe the best work is done in a hybrid environment. Ideal candidates will be able and excited to work with our CTO and other engineers in the Denver, Colorado office 2‑3 days a week.

As a Software Engineer, you will bring a passion for learning and solving tough problems to the table to help build our products for today’s customer needs and beyond. The features you ship will reach hundreds of millions of end‑users a month, and you could be working on something different every week.

Your role will grow with the team, so you’ll have the chance to wear many different hats as we scale from one thousand to tens of thousands of customers. You’ll succeed in this role if ownership and autonomy energize you and motivate you to build something you’re extremely proud of.

• Type Script Monorepo
• Frontend – React web app hosted on AWS S3 / Cloud Front (Redux, Material UI, Tanstack Query, etc. also used)

• Backend – Serverless NodeJS hosted on AWS Lambda, managed by SST. MySQL database.
• SQS queues, Dynamo tables, dockerized lambdas, etc. also used

• Analytics – AWS Event Bus, Kinesis Firehouse, and Snowflake.
