Overview
Role Overview. Work directly with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain advanced security automation solutions using Splunk SOAR. This role requires deep technical expertise in Splunk SOAR architecture, custom application development, and secure integrations. You will be responsible for creating robust automation playbooks and custom apps from scratch, ensuring scalability and reliability across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities- Build custom applications and playbooks from scratch in Splunk SOAR (beyond standard playbook development).
- Develop and maintain automation workflows using Python.
- Implement logging, error handling, and secure password vaulting/syncing with external repositories.
- Review API documentation and integrate third-party services with Splunk SOAR.
- Understand and explain Splunk SOAR architecture, including key daemons/services and their functions.
- Create detailed technical documentation for all orchestration and integrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to set up integrations and follow enterprise change management processes.
- Cluster deployment experience is a plus.

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Splunk SOAR, including writing playbooks and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience building custom applications in Splunk SOAR.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Solid understanding of logging, error handling, and secure credential management in Splunk SOAR.
- Working knowledge of Splunk SOAR architecture and ability to explain key components.
- Familiarity with enterprise change management processes.
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies.
- Cluster deployment experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits- The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
