Volley Automation is building the future of parking through fully automated robotic parking systems. Our mission is to create sustainable parking solutions that are compact, efficient, and adaptable throughout a building’s lifecycle, while making EV charging easier and more accessible. Are you intrigued by the idea of putting cars away with robots? Do you hate parking? Do you love parking? If so, we’d love to talk.
Volley Automation builds fully automated parking. Drivers hand off their car at the entry bay and walk away. From there the building takes over: AGVs move vehicles on trays, vertical conveyors move them between floors, and a controls and software stack orchestrates everything. The result is a garage that fits more cars into less concrete, in exactly the urban cores where parking is most expensive to build.
Our systems go into real buildings, on real construction schedules, with real occupancy dates. That constraint shapes everything about how we build, develop, and engineer our product.
Volley is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to own the applications our customers and end users touch every day: the kiosk app in the bay, the mobile app, and the bay guidance display. You'll own these end to end, from requirements through shipping and supporting software that runs against real hardware. Requirements change as the hardware and the business evolve, so you should be comfortable making product and technical calls without a finished spec.
You should like building things, prefer simple solutions, and care how the result feels to the person standing in front of it.
Own the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement of Volley's user-facing applications, each of which integrates with garage and bay software and hardware.
Translate product requirements, user flows, and mockups into polished, production-ready interfaces for kiosk, mobile, and web.
Lead new user-facing systems as the platform grows, including web applications for garage and AGV management, internal tools for running simulations, and EV charging features in the mobile and kiosk apps.
Write frontend code that is tested, maintainable, and performs well on the hardware it ships on.
Work with backend, robotics, hardware, and operations engineers on application architecture, APIs, and integrations.
Develop and test against real robots and bay hardware at our test facility and at customer sites, troubleshoot issues when they come up, and take part in showcase and pilot deployments.
BS (MS preferred) in CS or a related discipline.
Deep understanding of frontend fundamentals: responsive and adaptive layout, state management, component architecture, debugging, and testing, with experience shipping production UIs backed by REST APIs.
Strong experience with Flutter/Dart or another modern frontend framework such as React, React Native, Vue, or Angular, and with mobile or hybrid app development on iOS or Android.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
A track record of taking projects from prototype to deployed, monitored production software.
Willingness to work across the stack, including backend, testing, and simulation, when that is where the work is.
Ability to work in person. Travel is not a regular part of the role, but expect occasional visits to customer deployment sites to see your work in operation and gather feedback from users.
Direct professional experience with Flutter/Dart.
Experience building and deploying apps for kiosk, embedded-display, or on-device Linux hardware.
Strong system design experience and rapid prototyping skills.
Experience setting up CI/CD with Git Hub Actions, including automated build and release for…
