Assistant Coach, Coaching – Women’s Soccer
Position Summary
:
The Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach reports to the Women’s Soccer Head Coach. The position will assist the Head Coach with coaching, recruiting, travel coordination, camp facilitation, game/practice planning, fundraising, and academic monitoring. The Assistant Coach will adhere to RMAC rules and NCAA Division II bylaws, represent MSU Denver positively, and uphold the program’s philosophies and department core values.
- Assist Head Coach in coaching activities (practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports).
- Assist in developing and implementing training and game plans.
- Academic Coordinator through study hall, class attendance, registration, and progress toward graduation.
- Recruiting Coordinator via event scheduling, unofficial/official visits, and tryouts.
- Travel Coordinator scheduling flights, charter buses, rentals, hotels, meals, and training times.
- Game day liaison with visiting opponents via training schedule, visitor guide, and NCAA Game Rosters.
- Assist in scouting and video analysis.
- Assist in fundraising opportunities (camps, clinics, facility rentals, community drives).
- Assist in community service projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous competitive experience or coaching experience in women's soccer.
- Master’s degree.
- USSF “C” license or USC National Diploma or equivalent.
- Goalkeeper coaching experience.
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver provides a compensation range of $41,626 – $45,000, paid monthly and eligible for university benefits.
