Position Title:
Boys Volleyball Assistant Coach.
Location:
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART - High School.
Compensation: $3,800 (temporary, part-time position and is not benefits-eligible).
Season:
First Day - February 1st;
Last Day - May 31st.
- Follows the rules and regulations of the school and the league of participation.
- Attends mandatory preseason rules meetings.
- Attends post-season coaches' meetings.
- Meets with the Athletic Director regularly throughout the season to discuss progress.
- Engages in time-sensitive communication with the Athletic Director.
- Utilizes provided development opportunities provided by the Athletic Director and the Network Athletic Director.
- Attends pre- and post-season meetings with DPA Athletics.
- Organizes, schedules, and supervises practice sessions (min. 2x/week).
- Communicates any practice changes to the Athletic Director.
- Manages the staff of assistant coaches and any managers.
- Supervises and is responsible for the equipment in your sport, including handing out and collecting uniforms.
- Communicates and disseminates program information to players, families, and the broader school community as needed.
- Maintains appropriate supervision of the program at all times (locker rooms, practices, events, bus rides, etc.) including post-game and post-practice.
- Ensures that the team reflects the proper attitude and conduct at all times.
- Represents the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct.
- Performs any ad hoc duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
- Experience preferred, demonstrable understanding of the sport, seeking to coach.
- Teamwork and teambuilding skills.
- Communication skills, unwavering commitment to growing personally and professionally as an anti-racist and anti-oppressive organization.
- Demonstrated success working with students from historically marginalized communities.
