Job Description

Are you passionate about sports, fitness, and empowering young athletes? Do you thrive on inspiring kids and teens to build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong skills through athletics? If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Athletic Specialist!

The Athletic Specialist will ensure a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants while building positive relationships that motivate and inspire young athletes.

The Athletic Specialist plans, supervises and implements a variety of high‑yield activities and targeted programs within healthy lifestyles and physical activities. Low organized programs can include: yoga, Play
60 programming, fitness challenges, Red Light Green Light, Protect the Penguin and scooter races. This role is also responsible for coaching intramural and team sports activities including: baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball for their club members.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1 year of direct service working with youth.
  • Experience in coaching, sports instruction or recreation programming.
  • A team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to engage, mentor and motivate youth.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy (at least 21 years of age and valid driver license for at least 3 years with no major violations)
  • Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
  • Able to work Tuesday - Saturdays (1:00-8:30) during school year (September - May) during sports seasons and 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday during summer (June-August).

  • You are a Spanish speaker.
  • Boys & Girls Club experience.
  • Experience playing sports.
