Mobile Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled technician who can provide on‑site repair and maintenance for Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers – ensuring your fleet is safe, compliant, and ready to operate.

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after‑treatment systems, lift‑gates, tires, and more.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair or replace vehicle/trailer components as needed.
• Open and close repair orders on a company‑issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other required documentation in a timely fashion.

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Self‑motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• Proficiency with a computer/tablet for electronic work‑order processing, including labor hours and status updates.
• At least 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proper tools for the job.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Certifications are a plus.
• Welding experience.
• CDL, a plus.
• Experience working outdoors and under extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
